Hamlett, Elaine
89, of Chandler, AZ passed away peacefully on August 9, 2014. She was born on December 3, 1924 in Pana, Illinois to Byron and Gertrude Anderson. She was married to Lonnie Hamlett on June 14, 1945 and they had 4 children; Martin, Dave, Steve, and Jane. During WWII, Elaine worked on airplane components for the United States military while her husband served as a marine. She worked hard at everything she did. Elaine will be greatly missed and is survived by her sister Karen, 3 children Dave (Ann), Jane (Keith), and Steve (Margo), her daughter-in-law Laura, her 5 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Elaine joins her husband Lonnie, parents, 2 siblings, and son Martin in their heavenly home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11am at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd Scottsdale. There will be a graveside committal at the National Cemetery at 12:30pm, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix.

Remember many family gatherings and visiting with Elaine. Years ago I was "Adopted" into the Sperling & Hamlett Families. Spent many family gatherings together. You will be missed Grandma Elaine. RIP dear lady.

I first met Elaine in 1978, after meeting Steve. Since then, she was a familiar part of my life. Like a second Mom. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Rest In Peace, Elaine. You are now reunited with Lonnie.
