Mary Elizabeth (Bette) Allan
Scottsdale - October 15, 1923 - March 28, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bette Allan, 94, on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Formerly of Waterdown, Ontario, Canada, Palos Hills, IL, Fort Myers, FL, and most recently Scottsdale, AZ, Bette will be greatly missed by her daughters and their husbands: Susan Guelpa (Fountain Hills, AZ), Patricia and Barry Wynne (Orillia, Ontario), Katherine and Ronald Brown (Paradise Valley, AZ), Janet and Michael Crusing (Frankfort, IL), as well as her six grandchildren (and spouses): Michael (Amy), Christopher (Lara), Leann (Aaron), David (Sally), Matthew (Kelley), and Megan, and her seven great-grandchildren. Bette is predeceased by Jack, her husband of 63 years, her sisters Margaret McCabe and Shirley Drummond, her brother Jack Green and her son-in-law Keith Guelpa. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bette was lots of fun with a great sense of humor, made many life-long friends and loved to celebrate any occasion.Special thanks to the kind and caring staff at the Retreat at Desert Cove and Hospice of the Valley, Scottsdale, AZ. A service and private family internment will take place on Friday, April 20, 2018 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. If desired, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, Arizona (www.hov.org/donate).
