77, of Gilbert, AZ passed away suddenly on February 25, 2013 from heart related complications. Olene was born in Glendale, AZ on November 12, 1935. She graduated from Glendale Union High School in 1953 and continued on to attend Arizona State University. Olene followed in her mother's footsteps by working as and Intern at the Arizona State Capitol for Governor Wesley Bolin. She also enjoyed her time as a flight attendant for American Airlines. From April of 1978, Olene worked as a title clerk for Earnhardt Ford until she retired in December of 2005. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, Spring Training Baseball and spending time with her beloved family. Olene is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Thomas (aka Tom Sr.), son, Thomas Jr., daughter, Cheryl, sister, Virginia Andrews of Gresham, OR, and 3 nieces as well as other family and friends. Olene was "Oma" to three grandchildren, Nicholas, Chace, and Kenna. Olene was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, "Oma", and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those fortunate enough to have known her. A Celebration of Olene's life will be held on Saturday, March 9th at 11:00am at Stockyards Restaurant located at 5009 E. Washington Street, Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the .
