Patricia McDaniel Hall, 90, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully in her sleep while in Hospice care on September 23, 2012. Patricia was born in Atlanta, Georgia on May 28, 1922. Patricia went to Atlanta Girls' High School, and graduated with a BA in English and Education from the University of Georgia in Athens. She was an elementary school teacher for many years in Atlanta, Georgia; Bethany, Kentucky; Gallup, New Mexico; and Phoenix, Arizona. She attended Arizona State University and completed 32 hours towards her Masters in Library Science. She was an associate editor for her college magazine and did various freelance writing over the years for magazines and newspapers. Patricia was an education advocate, and tutored students in reading and math. Her hobbies included piano, reading, writing, and Bible study. Her steadfast faith in God had long been rooted in her life, and she was a daily prayer warrior for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Chamberlaine Hall, her mother and father, Janie Bryson Grow and Dudley M. Grow, and her brother, Stewart Grow. She is survived by her three children: Stephen Hall, Elizabeth Hall, and Susan Luffey; seven grandchildren: Adam Montoya, Carl Anthony, Amanda Pulley, Allison Hall, Alex Hartman, Grayson Hall and Elizabeth Hall; five great-grandchildren: Shea Montoya, Alexis Montoya, Taytum Montoya, Olivia Raby, and a new great-grandchild due in February 2013. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Sunrise Health & Hospice, 1840 East University Drive, Mesa, AZ, 85203 ( Patricia's family will always be grateful for the excellent care provided by Silver Star Assisted Living Home in Phoenix, AZ.
