Nahorniak, Russell
69, of Gold Canyon, AZ passed away surrounded by his family on January 19th, 2013. Russ, an artist, tinkerer and adventurer, was born in Chicago, IL, grew up in Willernie, MN, raised his family in Plymouth, MN, and retired to Gold Canyon, AZ. He graduated from Mahtomedi High school, earned his BA from Macalester College and his MS from Mankato State University, and went on to become a much loved and respected science teacher and coach. He is survived by his wife Kay of 47 years, sons Mike (Tami), Matt (Jasmine), and daughter Michelle (Louis). His 6 grandchildren Allie, Ava, Avery, Alex, Nacho and Andress were his pride and joy. Memorial contributions may be sent to the "Russ Nahorniak Boyce Thompson Arboretum Bench Fund" at any Wells Fargo Bank.
