Askey, Walter M.
64, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed on March 5th, 2014 in his home. Memorial services will be held at 5:30pm, Sunday March 23rd at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 East Indian School Road, Scottsdale, Arizona. Walter was born January, 10th, 1950 in Vallejo, California to Marion W, Askey and Ruth Elizabeth (Dominic) Askey. After graduating College Walter went on to administrate business as both a civil servant and private sector manager. Walter took great joy in music and art, engaging in his own artistic works and encouraging the work of others. An outstanding cook and entertainer, he will be remembered by many for his glorious cakes and pastries that he shared with anyone he met and the intimate dinner parties he shared with his friends and family. Walter took great joy in spending time with the children in his extended family. He lavished them with attention and love and will always be remembered by, Sierra Grubb, Peyton Grubb and Anissa Jackson. Walter is survived by his sisters, Idris Elizabeth (Ledbetter) Husbands and Sara Lynn (Askey) Horkey and their children, Ruth Elizabeth Husbands, Wal
ter Alan Husbands, Richard Scott Husbands, Reni Lynn (Coquel) Lewis and Linda Jean (Coquel) Hunter, along with four great nieces, one great nephew, one great grand neice and one great grand nephew.
