William E. L'Huillier, Sr., Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend went to be with his Heavenly Father after a long battle with cancer on May 20, 2014. "Bill" was born July 2, 1932 to Raymond and Agnes L'Huillier in Marquette, Michigan. Bill grew up and attended school in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After High School Bill was a Merchant Marine and sailed the Great Lakes on the ore boats until joining the Army in 1951. Bill was a veteran of the Korean War. He met his soul mate and lifelong best friend Doris Elizabeth Polfer in Chicago on May 16, 1953. They were married in September of 1955 and moved to Lansing, Michigan where Bill graduated from Michigan State University. After school, they moved to Chicago and later moved to Genoa, Illinois where they raised six children. Bill worked in Banking and later as a Controller in the Automobile industry. In 1988 they relocated to Arizona and set up residence in Peoria. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Doris, six children Kim (Doug), Bill Jr., Glen (Dee), Jacque, Duffy & Ron, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Bill loved life, his family and friends and he will be missed by everyone who knew him. A memorial service will be held for Bill on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd. Peoria, AZ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bill's memory to , 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014.
