William E. McCollum, 89, of Phoenix passed away September 13, 2013. He is survived by his children, Linda Beck, Darrell (Mary) McCollum, Connie (Frank) Coleman, Ellen (Jamie) Burt; 8 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren. He enjoyed all Arizona sports, and also his pet tortoise "Speedy". He was an avid Ham Radio Operator (W5MFY) and worked for the US Postal Service from 1967-1985. He served honorably in the United States Air Force during World War ll and retired in 1966. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and neighbors. Visitation Monday, September 16, 2013 from from 10 am to 12 pm at A. L. Moore Grimshaw 710 W. Bethany Home Rd.
