John Richard Augustine, Jr.

Paradise Valley - John R. Augustine Jr, 53, of Paradise Valley, passed unexpectedly April 21, 2018 in the home he shared with his mother. He was born July 1, 1964 in Phoenix AZ to mother Nancy Augustine, and late father John R. Augustine Sr. John graduated from Chaparrel High School of Scottsdale, in 1982, and went on to earn a law degree from the University of Wyoming. He was accepted into the Arizona State Bar in 1991. A cerebral man, John enjoyed spending his time learning new things and sharing his knowledge with others. He was a devoted son, and spent his last years taking care of his mother and father. John is survived by his mother, sister Martha Hazelwood, brother-in-law Alphonse Hazelwood, and their two children Christopher and Samantha Hazelwood. Friends may attend services on April 28, 2018 at Blessed Sacrement (11300 N 64th St, Scottsdale, AZ 85254) at 1:00pm, proceeded by graveside services at Paradise Memorial Gardens (9300 E Shea Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260) at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul.
