Our hearts are in deep grief since the arriving of this sad news.
Even though we have only met Joe once when you visited us in Australia, we heard a lot about him from other family members and your letters to us.
We all love him dearly, especially Edgar.
Joe will be greatly missed, and loved by all of us.

I was sorry to hear about Joe's passing. My condolences to the family. I met Joe in 1971 when he became my insurance agent. I've had insurance with Joe for more than 40 years. He was a great man and it was my privelege to know him and talk to him over the years. It was mostly about insurance but he did tell me about his life in Holland and some of the adventures he had. He will be missed by all who knew him. R.I.P. Joe!

We got our wings together at Craig Afb.
He was always a good man to fly with.

Dear Florence and Eberson Family,
Joe was my first flight instructor when I was a young second lieutenant going through primary pilot training in 1957-58 at Malden Air Base, Missouri. He was also my neighbor in that small community. His son, Joey, would come over and play in our yard. Joe's patience with me in the small T-34 training plane contributed immensely to my eventual graduation from pilot training and completion of a near 26-year career in the United States Air Force. Years later, I ran into Joe again, at the First Congregational Church in Phoenix. One evening, Joe and I flew around in a light aircraft taking in Phoenix sights and reminiscing. On another memorable occasion, we lunched together at a meeting of the Order of Daedalians, a fraternal group of military pilots meeting at Luke Air Force Base. Joe was a real mentor to me and I know he will be missed by all of you. God bless!

Dear Florence and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in these sad days as you share many fond memories of Joe, a friend and associate of many throughout the years. We enjoyed many get togethers at our Dutch Club, and Joe played an important role as one of the founding members. He will be missed by many, and especially by his loved ones who shared his final battle.

We are so very sad to learn of Joe's passing. Jetty called us. What a loss for each of you who so dearly loved this gentle man. But he was a brave warrior, too, fighting his last battle with great strength and dignity and courage - much the way he probably lived his life. We will remember him as one of our first friends from the Dutch Club, who, with you, always went out of his way to greet us and befriend us. As we got to know you and Joe better, we came to know him as a very sincere, kind, and genuinely nice person, whom we grew to like very, very much. How could you not? But, there is more we came to know about him. Certainly a man of business success, but also a person of patience and dignity, gentleness and kindness. We are so sorry, Flo, for you. We met Joe as a strong, handsome, healthy man who was always jogging through the neighborhood. As we got to know him one realized what a thoughtful person he was, how much he contributed to the community and what a wonderful love story he had with his wife, Florence. Joe will be missed by many and our prayers are with Florrie and their family.

So sorry to hear of Joe's death. Joe was my friend and insurance agent for the last 30 years. I consider him more of a friend than anything else. I will miss talking to Joe and seeing his smile. He always had a great attitude about everything and never complained.

Joe was the ultimate agent's agent...one of the mentors to many young agents who knew him. He was a gentleman who was always cordial when you saw him. I will always remember his contagious smile! I am glad I knew him!

It is with heartfelt sympathy that we pass our deepest condolences to the Eberson family for the passing of Joe. He was a true gentleman and a devoted supporter of the Dutch community in Arizona and he will be truly missed. His groundwork for the Dutch Club will live on with the new generation and we are very grateful for his help. With great sadness we received the news of the passing of Joe Eberson. As a founder of the the Dutch Business Association of Arizona, now Dutch Connection of Arizona, his legacy lives on. Many Dutch families in Arizona enjoy the community and support of the organization Joe served as President and continued to grace with his presence at our activities. We are grateful for his contributions and were blessed by his friendship.
We wish his family strength in accepting this loss.

I am truly sorry to read about Mr. Eberson's passing. I have many memories of his love for his family and his strong sense of integrity towards other human beings.
