Carissa Seip Obituary
Rachel and Gene Gutting; her aunts and uncles Pat and Ray Beemer, Roxanna Cooke, Dan and John Gutting; and cousins Chris Beemer, Betsi and Matt Sherman, Lauren and John Kane. She will also be missed by her seven loving pets. Carissa had many loves and interests - she was a gifted athlete and excellent student and excelled in many extracurricular activities. She was a friend to all who knew her. She offered to us all the sweetest gift - a glimpse of a beautiful, pure soul. A brilliant light, she warmed our hearts with her infectious smile and her kind spirit. We are sure never to be the same again. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 28th at 3:30 p.m. at All Saints Episcopal Day Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations to be made to All Saints Episcopal Day School for the Carissa Seip Memorial Scholarship fund, 6300 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85012. Baby, the life you so gracefully carried will never be forgotten.

I've spent days trying to make sense of it all; you were a gift from god, one truely original light that brightened each and every life you came in contact with. I didn't know Carissa very much, but the effect that she had on all of All Saints' Episcopal Day School, was present in everyone. No one could avoid her smile, humor, and personality throughout the school. The news of her departure really struck our family and the the condolences of the Shore family (Gwyne Shore, William Shore, Eddie Shore, and Nicholas Shore) reach out to the Seip family. At school, we passed out orange ribbons to wear in remembrance of Carissa and most still wear them after many days. Carissa will always be remembered by everyone at All Saints', and it is so sad to see her go. We know though that you will light up the heavens, and the world, from where you are now, with your smile, forever.

I am saddened to have heard the news of Carissa's passing. Her best friend Sarah is a peer of mine at school. She and Carissa attended one of our highschool band shows at a house party on the 21st of December. The few moments I became acquainted with Carissa was when I drove her and Sarah to Desert Mountain Highschool to be picked up by some of their friends. Carissa was an energetic soul who made everyone laugh and smile. The PCDS campus was always bounding with fantastic energy and people always filled with charisma whenever she entered a room or stepped into the quad.
