Charles Chappell Obituary
85, passed away April 15th, 2015 at his home in Mesa. Born in Port Byron NY, he enlisted in the Navy. Reenlisting in the Air Force, he served as a flight engineer and a missile crew chief. After 23 years of service, he retired as a Master Sergeant. Chuck worked at Falcon Field before becoming a representative of Farmers Insurance Group. Upon retirement, he and his wife traveled our nation in an RV often volunteering with the Salvation Army at natural disaster sites. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jean, and the families of four sons: John, Donald and Kate, David and Katie, Jeffrey and Patricia; four grandchildren: Jennifer Nuttall, Heather Nelson, Justin Chappell and Joseph Chappell. Missing their "Grandpa Great" are Colt and Caitlin Nuttall; Brody, Brooklyn and Crew Nelson; and Grady Chappell. A memorial gathering is scheduled for mid June 2015 in Mesa AZ. Any friends interested in attending are welcome; please email [email protected] for details. The family asks that memorials be offered to your favorite charity or to Green Oaks School (www.greenoaksschool.org).
