Thompson, David Loren
84, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on April 21, 2016. He was born in 1931 in Eugene, OR. He graduated from San Rafael (CA) High School in 1949. Having joined the Marine Corps Reserve, he was sent to Korea in 1950 where he fought in the Chosin Reservoir campaign with the 1st Marine Division. After the war, Dave enrolled at the University of Arizona where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and a singing quartet with his lifelong friends Bob, Jerry and Skip, graduating in 1955. Dave was a regular fixture in musical theater productions at (then) Phoenix Little Theater throughout the 1970s and into the 80s. He lived in Rome, Italy for many years where he taught English and acted as an extra in films including Godfather III and Beyond Justice with Omar Sharif. Dave was loved by all who knew him and will be remembered as a gentleman and a great conversationalist. Dave is survived by his sons Michael (Kari), Randy (Debbie), and Kirk (Julie) and his two granddaughters Caroline and Elizabeth.

He joins my husband Jerry and Bob singing with the angels. What fun music they made together. They enjoyed it as much as the audience. David was a dear person and so very smart .
Will miss doing crossword puzzles with him on the quartet reunions.
