Debra Rose Gomez

Phoenix - 5/2/1958 - 2/12/2021

Debbie Gomez 62 of Phoenix passed away at home. She was born in Missouri to Olivia Aguilar and Manuel Aguilar. She lived most of her life here in Phoenix, AZ.

Debbie worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Salva at Vogel & Matesi DDS for almost 18 years.

Our mom loved to spend time with her family. She loved to hang out and have everyone at her house. She was a social butterfly, she talked to anyone and everyone. Our mom welcomed all of our friends into our home and treated them like one of her own. She enjoyed our yearly 4th of July camping trip. We were blessed she was able to enjoy some mini getaways and traveling before she lost her battle to cancer. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. She will be remembered by the memories and special moments we all have of her.

Debbie is survived by her husband Frank Gomez; sister, Roberta Aguilar; two children Ernie Gomez and Angel Gomez; 6 grandkids Chris, Ariel, Marissa, Nayeli, Johanna, Xavier; 3 great grandkids Melody, Scarlett, Anahis; as well as a host of others who loved her deeply.

Services will take place Monday March 1st, 2021 at Avenidas Funeral Chapel 522 E Western Ave, Avondale, AZ 85323. Visitation will begin at 6pm. Due to Covid 19 the Church and Burial will be private.

Debbie was like a second mom to me ever since I met her in high school when I came over to Angel's house. She always took care of us at her house, making sure we were fed, and not out acting a fool. She even helped Angel and I get ready for our senior prom! As an adult she continued to show that motherly instinct and whenever we had get togethers she always asked if I had ate, or if I wanted a plate. Always called me mijo and treated me like a son. One of the biggest hearts a person could have! She loved her family, biological, and extended. Loved to joke and laugh and just loved being around everyone. I'm going to miss you momma Debbie!! Rest in paradise now!!
