Lapre, Donald
47, passed on October 2, 2011. Don was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on May 19, 1964, and moved to Phoenix, Arizona, with his family at 7 years old. He attended Sunnyslope High School and worked as a manager at Gemco at 18 years of age. He met and married his wife of 23 years, Sally Redondo, and they had two beautiful children together. Don's kids were his pride and joy. He was the best father anyone could ever ask for. Don was a born entrepreneur and was self-employed starting as a painter at 19 years old and from there went on to produce and be a part of many infomercials. He was nicknamed 'King of Infomercials'. Don loved the ocean but his greatest love was doing for others. He was the most generous man in the world. To know Don was to love him. We will forever miss his warm smile and loving heart. We wil l also miss his greeting of 'Wazz up!!!'
He is survived by his wife Sally, son 'Bear' Lapre, daughter Tori Lapre, two brothers Mike and Brian Lapre, sisters Debbie Rozzell and Michelle Milburn and parents Wilfred and Shirley Lapre. Funeral services will be on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 11:00 am at Bethany Community Church, 6240 S. Price Rd., Tempe, AZ. Burial will be at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, AZ following the funeral services. www.greenacresmortuary.net.

This is awkward, I found out today that Mr.Dapre passed, with great dismay. I grew up in a poor family and Mr. Dapre's infomercials planted the seed for my ambition to work for myself. I consider Mr. Dapre a mentor and the only inspiration to do your best. RIP Don Lapre.

Was just thinking of Don... I never met him but he really inspired me as a teenager and more now.. Thank you Don for taking the time and motivating us to get out of our comfort zone.. You are missed and definitely the best at what you did. I want to put his family in prayer, that God may comfort them in times of need and that they may remember all the beautiful things God allowed him to share with them.... That theyau realize
That God doesn't let any hurts and tears go to waste- but uses them for his glory .. God bless you

I love Don and his Siblings as my own. I am only a step-dad, but this family is mine along with the Cleveland Children. We will be completely united when Jesus Returns. I have full respect of the other natural parents and wish them the same future. But my heart is completely consumed with my Wife and the children of both families. My heart cries for Donald. I meant Don about four years ago when I was introduced to him and Sally by a mutual friend. What I can tell you about Don, is that he had a heart for people. People were Don's passion and it showed in everything he did. I have had the honor and privilege to also know his wife Sally. There is a part of me that thinks that Don will always take care of Sally and the kids from where he is at. Although he is not on this earth he is in the arms of our Creator. Don, you are missed but not forgotten.

You were the most caring loving unselfish man I've ever known. I love and miss you much. You've helped me through the toughest and most scary situations I've faced so far and your the only one who has been able to make light of the situations and make everyone laugh about it. From day to day I think about you and picture you walking around in heaven with your index finger up and head bobbing low in your tickle position with that contageous smile tickling everyone in your sight :) your the greatest uncle and family member someone could ask for. thank you for all you've done for me and the family.Watch down on all of us and can't wait to see you again! I love you!

I never knew who he was until the other day. I watched his youtube videos and wow, he was so talented. You could tell he was passionate about what he did and that is why he was so successful. It's a shame that he is gone. The world needs MORE entreprenuers like Don. Hope his children are okay. It's never easy losing a parent. Who knows, maybe one of his children will carry on his legacy. :-)

When I first met Don I was amazed that someone like this existed. Through the years of observing this amazing person I grew into a man. He taught me so many things along the way of 7 years working for him. Everyone around him loved his energy, guidance, and tutelage. He has taught many of us that life is about leaving a Legacy, being a good person, and helping those less fortunate. For this I am eternally grateful that he had such an influential affect on my life. Thank you so much Don and we will truly miss you. Rest in peace brother....

Don was, without exception, the most giving man that I have ever known. He had an infectious smile and would give the shirt off his back in order to help those in need or those who needed a reason to dream of success. He was an "all-in" kind of guy, a visionary, and a tremendous motivator. He told me years ago that he made more than anyone that most people know because he was willing to lose more than anyone that most people know. Don's influence and enthusiam will be sorely missed but dreams never die and many were created and fulfilled because of Donald Lapre.

Oh Don, I am so heartbroken! Even though we didn't always see eye to eye on some issues, you have alway had my total respect. I learned so much from you that enabled me to have my own company for ten years. I have alway remembered you saying "don't talk about what you are going to do, just DO it!" That phrase has been my true inspiration and enabled me to do what I didn't think was possible. I will miss you and love you for always!

To the Lapre Family, Shirley and Mason,

Although we did not know Don through our friendship with his mother and step dad, Shirley and Mason, and knowing the kind of people they are, it's clear that Don was a good person who loved and cared deeply for his family and friends.

Patricia and I send our heart felt condolences to all of the Lapre Family, to their friends, and to the associates who knew Don. May you all be blessed and keep fond memories of Don in your hearts forever.

Don's enthusiasm was contagious, he has taught so many people to never give up on their dreams. Don was the reason for where I am today and I believe that goes for allot of other people as well, and I am very thankful to have known Don personally. He has done so much for my family and I am very thankful for that. Don wore is heart on his sleeve, and would give his shirt off his back for someone in need. I worked for Don in Phoenix with Jeff as a "side kick" assistant many years ago. Don always had that wonderful smile and uplifting attitude. He always made you feel as though there was nothing out of reach. He use to explain the different percentages of people's worrying habits to me, and I would always end up laughing. I would not be where I am without Don. My heart is with his family. I will always have the utmost respect and fond memories of this great man. Don taught me many of things. I truly wish he could have weathered this storm.

Don, I truly believe I would not be where I am today, had I not discovered you in 1995. You inspired me to never give up and you once said that "tough times don't last, but tough people do" and said to stay tough and I have been able to overcome many obstacles thanks to your guidance. From the hundreds and hundreds of testimonials I have read, I can clearly see that you have inspired many others throughout the years as well. You were a Great, Great man! God has blessed you Don and He will take care of your family from here on out. Please do not worry. We all love you, Don! Rest In Peace, Sir!

Don,

You will be missed. It was a pleasure working with you and getting to know you. We were just texting a year ago and I was hoping to come out and say hello some time, even take you out to lunch and talk. I left some messages on your voicemail until the day it filled up. I am soooooooo Sorry Don. This world needs a hero and I know you tried your best. I would love to attend your memorial services if someone gets back with me. Don's loving, wonderful mom is married to my loving, wonderful dad. He is my step-brother...but he always treated me and my family like we were all part of his own family. I remember one Christmas when we all got together. Don loaded all of the kids up and took them to the toy store. The kids were so excited! When my daughter had cancer he was totally there for our family. There are so many amazing things he did that I can remember. He was the most loving and generous person that I know. Don was a bright light in the lives of so many people... family, friends, complete strangers. He had a ready smile for just about everyone, and his optimistic outlook and enthusiasm was infectious.

My heart goes out to his children, his mom and dad, his brothers and sisters, and his wife Sally. I'm so sorry for the pain of your loss.

To the family, I just want to say, we'll all be together some day, so the pain we all feel now will surely pass away. Be sad for those Don left behind, and happy for Don who surely is with God and the angels.

Don was a great man. I had the opportunity to talk to him by phone a year ago and thank him for selling me the $39 program in 1995 that helped propel me into going into business for myself. I have told this story many times in my business career in direct marketing. This guy was a visionary and will be missed by those who understand what it takes to step out on a limb like he did an take risks. You will be missed :-)

Our hearts are breaking for Don, his family and friends. We met Don many years ago when our daughter left Louisiana to work for him. What a great experience for her. He was such an amazing man with so much zest for life and helping people in all walks of life in their journey ahead. He was a great "Mentor" to many. Our daughter has her own business today and we're sure that Don played a heavy role in helping her to achieve her goals. What a vibrant man with a lot of love, knowledge and generosity to offer to the world. He is sadly missed by many.Keep all of your wonderful memories close to your heart. We're keeping all of you in our hearts, thoughts and prayers.

We will all miss Don; he touched so many of us with his generosity and kindness. I remember the first day I started to work for Don at Faber Lapre in that small executive suite on Camelback. He was so kind and generous to his employees; most of us would not be where we are today if we did not have the opportunity to work for him. There were so many fun times and stressful times but all in all, a very loving and learning experience. Don will not be forgotten, he was a highlight of my life.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked for Don a couple times. I didn't talk to him ever, but, I remember when a friend of mine passed away, who also worked for Don for 11 yrs. When Don heard about my friends cancer, he was there everyday, visiting him until the day he died. That says alot about the kind of man Don was. He will be missed.
