Gregg Lee Wulbrecht Obituary
Gregg Lee Wulbrecht

Phoenix - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Gregg Lee Wulbrecht (44) from a blood disorder which ultimately ended in liver disease. He passed away peacefully on October 21, 2018 in the care of Hospice of the Valley. Born in Phoenix, Gregg was raised in the North Central area attending the Madison schools, Central High School, Glendale Community College and Arizona State University. Gregg had a beautiful smile and the twinkle in his eyes told you fun was on the way. He was a loving, caring son, brother, father, cousin, uncle and friend. From a young age, Gregg loved sports. He began with skateboarding which necessitated a skateboard half pipe in the back yard. Soccer in the fall; Little League in the spring. He played Football and ran Track for Central High School and attended Glendale CC on a football scholarship. There was Golf in between and double-diamond skiing whenever he had a chance. His greatest passion was his friends. Whether defending classmates on the playground, coaching others or just having fun, Gregg had a fierce loyalty for each and every friend. Gregg is survived by his daughter, Katelyn Jean; parents Barbara Wulbrecht and Maury and Kathy Wulbrecht; his sisters, Shelley Schroff, husband Nick, children Abigail and Savannah; Jodi Santino, husband Scott, children Katie and Emily; his brother David Haberman, wife Marnie; his companion, Leslie Blackwood, her children Trace, Logan, Reily and Caden; and his former wife, Lisa Fitzgerald. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. There will be a memorial service November 9, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints' Episcopal Church 6300 North Central Avenue, Phoenix with internment following at the church. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Orchard 7100 North 12th Street, Phoenix from 11:30-2:30. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the two organizations that Gregg felt passionate about, Boston University Center for the Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy Fund and the Special Olympics of Arizona.
