Harold Victor Kennedy

Mesa - Victor "Vic" Kennedy, 94, of Mesa, AZ passed away on January 2, 2021 in Mesa, AZ due to a brief illness. Vic is survived by his son Harold, daughter Anita, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Vic was born on May 1, 1926 to William T. and Lota E. Kennedy in Lavaca, Arkansas. The family lived in several towns in Oklahoma during his early childhood. When Vic was 14 years old, the family moved to Long Beach, California. Vic joined the Navy in 1944 and served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. Upon his return he went to Long Beach City College to earn an AA. In 1985 Vic retired from a 35-year career as a draftsman in the engineering department at Shell Oil Company.

Vic was a people person, everyone loved him. Vic enjoyed fishing, cooking, entertaining family, and friends and was an avid golfer. Vic served as a great example to his children and grandchildren of how to live life with integrity, honor, faith, and passion in an environment where family always comes first. Vic was an active member of the Lutheran church and his faith was very important to him. Today, God has one more angel.
