Hurricane, UT - passed away Jan. 2, 2018, in his home peacefully after a debilitating stroke. Jack was born Nov. 29, 1922, in Colonia Dublan, Mexico to William Jefferson and Mary McGinty Farnsworth. He served an LDS mission in Mexico City and opened up the missionary work in Costa Rica. He also served in the Air Force during WWII as an Aviation Cadet and was honorably discharged. He was a manager at JC Penney's until he started the table grape industry in Pasquera, Mexico. He also went on to develop and run the largest pecan ranch in Southern Utah where he retired from and lived out his retirement years in Hurricane, UT.

He is preceded in death by his sister Betty, brothers, Bill, Bob, Earl and Frank. Also, his oldest son Kemp and 3 grandsons, Stephen Mack, Dale Farnsworth and Brian Tarwater. He is survived by his sister Mary Kleinman and brother Albert, also his wife Mavis Farnsworth, sons: Russ and Julie Edwards, Dana and Ann, Dwayne and Julie and Gary and Jaime Farnsworth. Also, Daughters Jacque and Garth Hatch, Rhonda and Brent Hafen, Sherrie and Tom Paxman, Debbie and Greg Bean, 50 grandchildren and 65 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurricane 22nd Ward Chapel, 360 N. 3400 W., Hurricane UT. There will be a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will take place in the Hurricane City Cemetery.
