Grandpa, today is Friday April 28th and it's your great grandson Jacob's first birthday. We sure miss driving to the cabin on Friday's to visit you. I wish we could have been there today for his birthday. I'm thankful he was able to spend so much time with you over the past year. I only wish he could have had the opportunity to enjoy all the things you did with me when I was growing up. Thank you for being such a great grandfather and friend. We miss and love you so much. Dad,
You have a brand new great granddaughter. I wish you could see her, she's beautiful, but a friend of mine said you saw her when you were on your way to heaven and she was on her way to her mom, dad and sister here on earth. I miss you so much but you are in a much better place rejoicing with our Lord. Say hi to mom for me and tell her I miss her too.

Dad, Today is Easter and I thought about how you are celebrating this glorious day in heaven! Remember the time you took the grandkids to a heap of brush near the cabin and told them the Easter Bunny lived in there? You took your foot and shook the brush and to everyone's surprise (including you)a jackrabbit came hopping out and all the kids were screaming. I miss you and will miss hearing your voice tonight. Love, Brenda
