- - James (Jim) Taylor Garrison, 99, passed away on August 26, 2018. Jim was born in Vallejo, California on October 31, 1918. He worked for General Mills for 47 years, residing in Vallejo, San Francisco, Portland, OR, Ogden, UT and Great Falls, MT, where he retired in 1984.

Jim was a past president of the Ogden Lions Club and former member of Gideon's International. He volunteered at Glacier Bible Camp in Hungry Horse, MT and also served in several churches during his adult life. At the time of his death he was an active member of First Baptist Church Sun Lakes, Chandler, AZ.

Jim loved God's creation, enjoying the outdoors as an avid hunter, fisherman, hiker and camper. He especially enjoyed his years living near Glacier National Park, MT. He also enjoyed home projects and was a talented builder and handyman.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor and Gladys Garrison, and his first wife, Alberta (Bertie) Garrison. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marjorie (Marge) Garrison, his seven children, Ginnie (Garrison) Wirtala, Richard Garrison, Susan (Garrison) James, David Legas, Richard Legas, Alan Legas, Jean (Legas) Allen, his sister, Ruth Marcacci (103 on Oct 9), 22 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Jim will be remembered for his humility, abiding faith, and strong endurance.

A memorial service celebrating Jim's life will be held at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, October 30, the day before he would have turned 100, at First Baptist Church Sun Lakes, Chandler, AZ.
