Janet Emilie Haning

Peoria - Janet Emilie Haning, age 81, of Peoria, Arizona passed away on November 10, 2020 in Peoria, Arizona. She was born November 7, 1939 to Frank and Mildred Spethmann in New Effington, South Dakota.

Janet received her Undergraduate degree in Social Work from Arizona State University and her Master's degree in Human Relations and Organizational Behavior from the University of Phoenix. She volunteered with the Helping Hands and Arizona Lost Boys organizations. She was also a precinct committee person for the Arizona Democratic Party.

She is survived by her daughter, Maureen Miller(Boyd), her son, Ronald J. Kennedy Jr.(Melinda), her step-son, Robert D. Haning, her sister, Ruth Ann DeForest, and her brother, Thomas Spethmann (Diane). She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as multiple extended family members and her beloved cat, Ramona. Janet is preceded in death by her second husband; Robert E. Haning and her son; Dean F. Kennedy. There are no services planned at this time.

The family suggests that donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
