Janet Helen Ross was born into our world on January 28, 1933 in Ridgewood, NJ and reunited with spirit on Sept. 28, 2003. Jan moved to Phoenix with her family in 1969. She dedicated her life to being a child of light and love. Jan was a wonderful mother, and grandmother, daughter and sister. Jan was a world renowned psychic, friend, healer and spiritual advisor. She was well loved, admired and respected by everyone who had the opportunity to know or meet her. Jan opened one of the first metaphysical bookstores in the Phoenix area and was a popular radio host on KFYI. Jan is survived by her mother, her sister, 3 children, 9 grandchildren and countless friends and people who loved and respected her. Jan Ross was truly an angel among us. She was light and love, healing and hope, joy and laughter. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Services for Jan will be Saturday, October 11, 2003 at Resthaven Cemetery, 63rd Ave and Northern, at 4pm., followed by a celebration of her life and candlelighting ceremony at Jan Ross Gifts and Books, 6pm at 3415 West Glendale Avenue, Phx, AZ 85051. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jan Ross Bookstore to honor and continue her legacy.

I learned only yesterday that the beloved Jan Ross has recently stepped from the visible to the invisible. I can imagine her loving smile, a wink and a cackle of laughter, as she moves on to her next experience and adventure in eternal life. I feel so blessed to have known Jan for nearly 15 years; she was so refreshingly unpretentious and wonderfully compassionate! The last time we spoke, she asked me to reach over and kiss her on the forehead. It was my honor to do so, dear heart. Bless you on your way, and thank you, Jan Ross, for touching my life.

"Inspiration" doesn't begin to describe Jan. "Unique" only begins to. My life has been blessed by having known her, as it still is by knowing her daughters, and the many friends I've found while in her company. Thank you, Jan. I know you'll always be with us, always beside us with an encouraging hand on the shoulder and an occasional dirty joke wafting through our minds.
