John Glimpse, my mentor, my trainer my friend
a man with a talent to teach people and train horses
firm yet always patient and kind
He taught me the skills I needed to drive and never once did he get angry, not once
even after he told me what to do and how to do a gazillion times
I would cry and tell him I quit I'll never be good enough...I'd give him the reins and he'd smile and drive for awhile than hand them back and repeat for the gazillionth time the same thing he'd been saying soften your hands..hold the outside rein....push him into your hands...touch him up
WATCH OUT ....
So many words of encouragement, never condemning
Came with me to California, Colorado , Pennsylvannia, New Jersey and when when I'd say what can J do better he'd smile and off wed go for another two- three hour lesson
and every competition I would hear people say as they lowered their voices " damn the cowboy's here" !!
John ALWAYS had time to give a kind word of advice to my competition and than tell me debbie only YOU can beat you
and I never quit
John you were the best coach, the best trainer and the best friend a lady could have
I'll miss you buddy
Rest in Peace
