Kathleen Kennedy Obituary
Kathleen "3 Bob's" Kennedy

Tempe - Kathleen Wright Dougherty Kennedy Ratkovich Kennedy

Born October 6, 1947 passed February 03, 2019 in Tempe, AZ.

Kathy is survived by her daughters; Kellie and Diane. Four grandchildren; Ryan, Rebecca, Dillon, Robert, and seven step children. You all know who was her favorite! Regardless of favorites she was surrounded by loved ones until her departure.

Originally from Pennsylvania, no where of which she was more proud of than the Jersey shore…she later moved to Arizona in 1978. Kathy's fondest moments can be traced back to her time spent in Tom's River , New Jersey, where she relished in the fun times and experiences she had while attending St. Rose High School with her best friend Mary Miljenovic.

Kathy was a entrepreneur, she began her career history as a buyer. Later opening her company; Southwest Engineering. She partnered to establish a company in electronic distribution. Reaching across the border creating international roots to Mexico, she was a pioneer far ahead of her time and well before NAFTA.

Always keeping her keen sense of humor and no holds barred attitude towards life, it's clear she made no quarrels about what she said; "She was inappropriate all of her life…The more inappropriate the better!" Kathy remained steadfast in her beliefs and life lessons, those of which she passed on to family; "let your children Smoke, Drink and Gamble so they don't have any money for Drugs." Lessons she made sure to teach even the youngest of people, such as; "go to the slot machine, if you win, just flag me over!" Basically the thought of her being the favorite, most successful disappointment in the family was just fine by her as she was self made, self sustained, and a beast in a small frame.

She came to Shalimar golf course, in Tempe Arizona over 25 years ago, growing a extended family as the golfer who was always so fun to be around. Kathy became well known around the course and left well loved.

A special Thank You from the family to Ronni Reeves for always being supportive, loving and helpful to their mother, her friendship is beyond measure.
