Phoenix - Richard Andrew Fleek, 65, passed away on August 17, 2018 at home. He was born in Caracas, Venezuela and was the son of Henry Sherwood Fleek and Consuelo 'Connie' Espinosa Parga. He was employed for 35 years by the State of Arizona, Division of Developmental Disabilities as a Mental Health Technician. He graduated from Alhambra H.S. He received an A.A. from Glendale Community College. He was a member of Self-Realization Fellowship where he was an usher for 20 years. He was active in the Arizona chapter of the Mayflower Society, and a former member of Sons of the American Revolution. He was an accomplished genealogist. He enjoyed reading history and collecting stamps. He had perfect pitch and enjoyed every kind of music. He was an amateur photographer. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, positive energy, reliability, integrity, persistence, attention to detail and powers of observation. He is survived by his sister, Melanie Fleek, and several American and Colombian cousins. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Self-Realization Fellowship, 6111 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85012. Visit for condolences.
