Samuel Tyler "Sam" Perkins Obituary
Perkins, Samuel "Sam" Tyler
Samuel "Sam" Tyler Perkins, 20, of Gilbert, Arizona passed way in his home with his family by his side on November 14, 2011 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. "At least he died a lion." Sam is survived by his parents (Richard and Sandy Perkins), his grandparents (Morris and Lucille Crawford), uncles (Gerry Crawford and Jack Crawford), aunts (Suzie Perkins, Donna Hammonds, Belinda Crawford, and Wandee Crawford), cousins (Jason and Michelle Crawford, Jeremy Crawford, Joshua Hammonds, and Charlie Crawford) and "sister" (Elena Shaw). Sam was also blessed with a wonderful group of friends who have been a tremendous source of support. Sam's greatest love was music. He adored being on stage and performing with the band. He was also known to be a video game enthusiast with a unique sense of humor. Nothing, however, compared to his heart-felt devotion to family and friends. Sam had the ability to touch the hearts of everyone he met and was an inspiration to many. He had a heart of gold and was a true and loyal friend. He was a wonderful and loving son and he will be greatly missed by his family and his friends. There will be a viewing from 6 until 8 pm on Friday, November 18, 2011 at Falconer Funeral Home, 251 West Juniper in Gilbert. A memorial service will also be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 5 pm. Please go to www.falconerfuneralhome.com for more information about Sam and the services. If you wish to make a donation, please contribute to Barrow's Neurological Institute in Phoenix. They truly are an amazing organization.
