Jenee Lynn Bandler, 42 of Bronx, New York, formerly of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away Friday, February 4, 2011 in New York. She was born August 3, 1968 in Phoenix, Arizona, the daughter of Terri and Alan Bandler. Jenee graduated from Apollo High School in Glendale, Arizona. She attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona where she was a music major. As a voice performance student, she studied opera and performed arias in Italian and German. Jenee was also a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She later moved to Los Angeles where working for Richard Simmons was always one of her favorite jobs. While living on Los Angeles she changed her career path to Psychology and graduated in 1998 from National University, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor in Psychology. She went n to receive her Master's Degree in Health Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University, Bronx, New York. After receiving her Master's Degree, whe was accepted into the Doctoral Program and focused on working with cancer patients. As part of her internship, she led classes at Montefiore-Eistein Cancer Center and became and Ambassador for the American Cancer Society. Following her passion for performing arts, she participated in various workshops, videos and on weekends Jenee especially loved singing karaoke with her friends. Survivors include her parents, Terri and Alan Bandler; siblings Mack & Lori Bandler and their sons Zachary & Aaron, Steve & Linda Bandler and their children Adam, Kyle, Jillian, Emma & Sophia, Ron & Laura Bandler and their children Andrew & Madison; great uncle Todd Tamaroff and a large, loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Jenee was preceded in death by her brother Norman and grandmother Imagene Williams. Graveside services were held in Phoenix on Wednesday, February 9th. Donations in memory of Jenee Lynn Bandler can be made to Congregation Beth Israel, Bandler Art Studio, 10460 N. 56th St., Scottsdale, Arizona 85253. Arrangements by Sinai Mortuary.
