James Edward "Jim" Ten Eyck Obituary
Ten Eyck, James (Jim) Edward
passed away peacefully on March 11, 2014 after a short illness. Jim was a loving husband, brother, father and terrific friend to all he knew. Jim was a strong man of faith, and his kindness and hugs always brought out the best in everyone around him. Jim was retired and enjoyed spending time with family, friends and escaping the summer heat in the White Mountains that he dearly loved. Mr. Ten Eyck was born in Kalamazoo, MI and grew up in Saginaw, MI where he graduated from Arthur Hill High School. He was a graduate of Youngtown State University in Ohio. He served his Country in the U. S. Navy and was a proud veteran. Over the years he had opportunities to live in various states, was a member of Kiwanis International, before moving to Arizona in 1997. He was an avid sportsman, antiquer, and Santa impersonator. He is survived by his wife, Aileen; son Eric Ten Eyck, OH; daughter Cheryl (Randall) Mincey, Gainesville, GA; sister-in-law Elizabeth Ten Eyck, Great Falls, VA; nephews Brian (Shanley) Ten Eyck, Tucson, AZ and Gregory (Monica) Ten Eyck, and the apple of his eye, great-niece Ava Jade Ten Eyck, Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Phyllis, his brother William, infant daughter Wendy and son Bradley. A
celebration of his life will be held on May 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale. Memorials can be made to Wounded Warriors Project or .
