Daniel Arthur Rose Obituary
Rose, Daniel Arthur
went to be with his Lord on Friday July 3rd after a long battle with cancer. He was 51 years old and was surrounded by his family. Dan Rose was born in S. Chicago on April 6th, 1958 as the youngest of 6 brothers and sisters to Allen and Celine Rose. He was known from a young age for his sense of humor. He was a track athlete at Plainfield H.S. and his 6'6" high jump record still stands today. He married Diane Rose and had 2 beautiful kids, Michelle and DJ, who were truly his life. He loved God and his kids more than anything in his life. After moving to Arizona he coached DJ in soccer and high jump for many years. He loved to play softball & golf; he loved the Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox. Dan remarried Julie Rose and raised his great kids. He worked at Fleming Foods for 23 years. He was actively involved at Central Christian Church and loved his church family. Throughout his life Dan remained good friends with so many people like Doug, Tom and Duane Snode from high school and his coach Harold Lang from Plainfield High. After working in California, he made one of his dearest friends, Ken Keeney. These were the people along with his loving family that kept Dan going and fighting for over 10 years. Dan Rose was a very brave man and the best father any kid could have. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. Dan is survived by his mother, Celine De Barge, his children Michelle Colgain and Daniel Joseph Rose, and his grandson Kaden Colgain, his sister Leona Kindernay and family, Charmaine Macek and family, Allen Rose, Janice Cotts and family, and Terri Guthrie and family and nephew and God Son Adam Kindernay.
