Miller, Mildred "Milly" Louise
93, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on June 28, 2014. Mildred Louise Whitehead was born January 20, 1921 at Fairmount, ND to Charles and Anna Gibson Whitehead. She graduated Fairmount High School in 1937. She married Raymond Gerald Syring of St Paul, MN and together they had 2 children, David Lee and Penelope Lyn. She married Daniel Duane Miller of Fairmount and together they had 4 children, Barbara Jean, Colleen Mary, Daniel Duane Jr, and Martha Ann. She attended North Dakota State School of Science and graduated with the first class of Dental Hygiene in 1967. She moved to Arizona in 1968 where she continued to work in Dental Hygiene and real estate. Her passion was tennis, she traveled to Europe numerous times to play and was nationally ranked on the US Senior Woman's Circuit. She lived a full and active life. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Anna Whitehead, her son David Lee Syring, her great grandson, Logan Lubbering, her 3 brothers and 6 sisters. She is survived by her children Penelope Neff of Seattle, WA, Barbara Miller of San Bernadino, CA, Colleen Galbreth, Hettinger, ND, Daniel Miller and Martha Miller both of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Private family services have been held. Memorials in Milly's honor may be sent to www.ustaserves.com
