Frank McCune Obituary

McCune, Frank
of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on July 25, 2015, at the age of 82. He will be remembered and loved for his generosity, friendship, and his service to God, his family and his country. Frank was born on August 22, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois. Frank attended Hyde Park High School in Chicago and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola Chicago and a Master of Arts degree from Arizona State University. He married the love of his life, Evelyn on January 19, 1957. He is survived by his wife of 58 years along with son, Greg. He is survived also by three sisters: Anita, Imogene, and Helen, and countless nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews that he loved dearly. A mass will be said for Frank, honoring his memory, on Saturday, August 22 at the V.A. hospital in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Hospice of the Valley Dobson in Chandler.

I was so sorry to hear about my former Spanish teacher passing. He was one of my favorites at Thornwood. I happen to find a picture of the two of us when he was chaperoning a band trip the same day he passed. It was a pleasure to know him. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
