Wilson, Jule
Jule Wilson, 68, a fiercely loving mother, wife and sister passed away September 30th, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born in North Tonawanda, NY July 23, 1949. Her military family moved frequently but they finally settled in Sierra Vista, AZ, where she attended Buena Vista High School. She graduated from NAU in 1971 with her degree in Education, beginning her 30+ year career in teaching. In 1980, she gave birth to her son Chad, who was blind giving her the motivation to return to school where she received her Masters in Visual Impairment Education from U of A. During her career she was a strong advocate for her students and their families, ensuring they had every opportunity possible. Her dedication led her to being awarded Tempe Teacher of the Year 2007. Jule is survived by her husband Tom, daughter Megan (Jeremy), son Patrick and brothers Red (Gean) and Mark (Mary). She also has a multitude of friends who will always remember her warmth and laughter. The family will be holding a memorial service and famous chili party at their home October 14th at 5pm. Jule has always exemplified motherhood, faith, love and generosity. I only wish I had half of her strength... maybe she can help me and others from beyond. We do and will miss you so much... our golf days will not be the same! Love you Jule!
