I remember what was-to me-one of the funniest moments on the “Regis & Kathie Lee” show...when Richard Simmons was a guest and he suddenly looked at Regis and said, wistfully, “ I would like to be a Father”. Regis suddenly said..”Well , don’t look at ME !!” Hilarious.

I remember Reigis as a kid watching him on the Joey Bishop show. But I felt I really got to know him watching Live with him..and Kathie Lee. He was so real, humble, personable. What I remember to this day is something he said his mother told him..no matter how much money you have, the poor house is right around the corner. R.I.P Regis!!❤❤❤

I along with my mom met Regis back in the 90swhen I requested two tickets to the Live with Regis and Kathie Lee. When we arrived at ABC studios in New York City a note was left on the door that the show was being filmed on the Spirit of New York. We hailed a cab and was in time to see Regis arrive at the pier in a helicopter; the guests that day was Sergio Franchi and dr. Ruth Westheimer.

What a lovely, sincere gentleman. He will be missed. Rest in Peace Mr Philbin.

MY WIFE AND I WATCHED REGIS' SHOW FOR MANY YEARS. WE WERE SORRY TO HEAR OF HIS PASSING. WE HOPE THE FOLLOWING WORDS WILL BE A COMFORT TO HIS FAMILY, FRIENDS AND FAN.

WHEN SORROW COMES

BY: CHARLES G. TURNER, SR

WHEN SORROW COMES TO YOUR HOME

YOU ARE NEVER ALONE

GOD GUIDES US THROUGH THE TIMES OF GOODNESS,

HAPPINESS, TOILS AND STRIFES

BUT WHEN SORROW COMES AND WE ARE IN DESPAIR

IT IS THROUGH HIS GRACE AND MERCY

THAT GOD LETS US KNOW HE IS THERE

WHEN WE ARE IN TIMES OF SORROW

OR IN THE MOMENTS OF SICKNESS, PAIN, AND NO HOPE FOR TOMORROW

HE IS WITH US EVERY SECOND, MINUTE, AND HOUR

JUST REMEMBER WHEN SORROW COMES TO YOUR HOME

WITH GOD IN YOUR HEART, MIND, BODY AND SOUL

YOU ARE NEVER ALONE

WITH HEARTFELT SYMPATHY

I loved the appearances Regis & Joy made together and miss that horribly. Thank goodness I had the sense to buy their album "Just you. Just Me." I gave it to my husband (& me) on our anniversary in 2010. The words are magic to my listening ears. I hurt for you, Joy, and send love and thanks for appearing with Regis and for sharing him with us. He & you will not ever be forgotten.

Alex will always remember his favorite celebrity - REGIS
There were many things I loved about Regis. I never missed a chance to watch him on TV. I had my first opportunity to meet Regis at the Andiamo Showroom in Warren, Michigan in 2006. I wrote him a letter to tell him that I had a Regis Shrine in my bedroom. He thought it was very cool about my shrine, and called my name from the stage. This is one of my most cherished memories and I will never forget it. I met him many more times through the years and he was always very patient with me because he understood how I would get all spastic and it would take me some time to speak especially to someone I admired so much. One time he said to me, " I'm glad to see you Alex, you've come to the show every time, but it's the SAME SHOW!" he said to the crowd " We need more 'Alexes'! I hope we aren't boring you"! I told Regis, " You could never bore ME!" I feel like a member of my family is gone. But I will always have a special place in my heart and mind for Regis. I Love you Regis!

I grew up watching Regis and Kathie Lee. My mom always has the show on and I got hooked. No one could tell a story like Regis. He sucked you in. Made you stop and listen. You laughed. You learned. He had the ability to touch everyone with his wit and charm. We loved him so much we even traveled with the show to Disney in Florida.

As a young adult I had the opportunity to work for ABC in the public relations department when Millionaire was just beginning and getting hot! I brought my parents in to see the show and we had a ball. We watched Kathie Lee go and Kelly come. We loved Regis and always tuned and and even visited Live a few times.

There were even nights when I was leaving work at ABC that I would see Regis walking home and I’d walk with him (behind him) as he headed home.

When he left Live it was like a death, but we knew he was still around and he would pop up here and there. But to now learn of his passing is just too much to bear. It’s been 4 days and I’m still deeply affected. I want to hold on as tight as I can. Save this man and his memory and the place he held in my heart and life....in the world. A place he didn’t even know about. Oh, Regis, May you be in a better place with your family and friends who were waiting for you. You will be missed more than you know and so many people of all ages and kinds loved you so very much. And that’s my final answer.

My deepest condolences to Joy, Joanna, J.J. and all his family.
