DON SHINN
September 18, 1947 - January 5, 2021

DON SHINN, A HARD WORKING MAN OF FAITH, INTEGRITY, SERVICE & KINDNESS, MOVED IN WITH JESUS ON JAN 5, 2021. HE BEAT CANCER, BUT THAT LAST EXTRA STRENGTH CHEMO WAS TOO MUCH FOR HIS BODY! HE FOUGHT HARD, NOT WANTING TO LET GO OF HIS FAMILY AND THE FRIENDS WHO MEANT SO MUCH TO HIM.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, 4 siblings & 5 month old daughter (DONNA). He is survived by his wife Kathryn (Kitty) Shinn, daughters, Toni & Tina Shinn, Leda Anderson & Summer Brady, sons Donald & Dennis Shinn, C.-Todd Hayne(wife Sheryl), Paul & Bobby Rosenberger (wife Wendy), 19 grandchildren whom he loved and treasured and several great grandchildren.

He worked in the oilfields for 40 years as companies changed many times, finishing up at ARCO, then 10 more years with West Side Mosquito Abatement. After "retirement" he continued to serve wherever he could, from volunteering at First Baptist Church assisting in anything from teaching to shoveling debris, helping at Maricopa Commodities or anyone needing a helping hand. He always did it without complaint and a smile trying to encourage the best in others and being a quiet example as a "Jesus follower".

Don was a man of many talents, enjoying woodworking, gardening, hunting and anything outdoors.

Celebration of Life is planned for 11:00 am on February 13, 2021 at First Baptist Church Taft.

In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the First Baptist Youth Fund, Youth for Christ, Jesus Film Project or your favorite charity.

The family will never be able to fully express their THANKS for all the outpouring of love & support.
