Dads career: worked in the trade of cabinetry most of his life. He enjoyed making furniture. Dad was a musician for 70 years. Many knew him for his amazing skills to play jazz on his tenor saxophone & flute. He also played congas and loved to sing. He 1st played in the Washington Jr high marching band. 1st group he joined was the Gay Lads, years later a local band, The Rhythm Kings. Through the years he played with many other groups and was a touring musician. In the 1980s dad gave his life to Jesus. Through his ministry of music he would be sought to play for many local churches and he traveled to faraway venues to share his music that would lead others to know the Love of God's character. We will always remember his love through his encouraging calls, personal dinner dates and birthday cards he diligently sent through the years. We all will be forever grateful to our dearest Leticia for lovingly caring for our dad who had dementia and who died at home surrounded by family and friends.

Became friends with Lalo about 20 or 25 years ago when he was working in the oil industry. We shared an interest in the fight game and music. He was a very good man and an even better friend and will be missed.
