Marlene A. Braun

1958 - 2005
In Loving Memory of Marlene A. Braun July 3, 1958 - May 2, 2005 First Monument Manager of the Carrizo Plain National Monument The Carrizo has the greatest concentration of threatened and endangered vertebrates species as well as many plant species in California. Her many friends recall her brilliance, kindness, deep appreciation of the natural environment, her loyal friendship, and her beautiful laugh. To all of us, she was a Best Friend. We offer our sympathies and love to her mother, Rita Braun, in Cincinnati; to her sisters, Judy and Phyllis and her brother, Marc; and her Uncle Earl Hartmann in California. We will continue to fight for justice for Marlene and we will love her forever. Signed by her friends, colleagues and supporters: Janie Acra, Michael Bell, Karen Blanken, Andrea Carter, Sarah Christie, John and Sandy Doria, Rod Ebert, Peter Douglas, Sutton Edlich, John and Susan Elliott, Yan Fang, Dr. Xiaobing Zhou, Daoning, and Marlene, Jr., Stace Hallstrom, Traci Hallstrom, Joe, Mary, Josh and Shaun Hermes, Kathy Hermes, S.
