Clare was my mother's childhood and lifelong friend, and she became my friend too. Her wisdom, curiosity and perspective inspire me. She remembered everything I ever told her. Thank you for your many gifts, Clare. having known you well is the most precious.

Clare and Murray were great friends of our family, especially in the 1950's and 1960's, when our families rented cottages on Pimneymouse Farm on Chappaquiddick Island. Later, when I was a college student in the Boston area in the early 1970's, their home in Brookline was a refuge from the craziness of college campuses. I can still hear Clare yelling in her sweet Southern voice, "Now Murray..." And she had such wonderful stories about people. We miss her already.

Clare Dewart was a wonderful example of a gracious and caring Christian woman. While rejoicing in a life well lived, my thoughts and prayers are with family and friends at this difficult time.

Celebrating a life well lived. Clare Dewart has been part of my life for almost 50 years. A woman I love and admire for making her life so interconnected to many people and keeping the important details of family and friends ever present in her amazing mind, even at age 88! My love to all of Clare's large extended family and all her multitude of friends who, like me, are grieving our loss of her loving warmth and sincere interest in our lives. May we always keep her memories in our hearts.

I remember Mrs. Dewart supervising GFS and dances and her brood of children. She was always gracious and lovely. My condolences to Roz and the entire family on the loss of your mother.

I never knew Clare but, knowing her daughter Roz, she must have been a great woman who the world and her family will miss. I am sorry for your loss.
