Henry Boeckman Obituary

Henry Francis (Hank) Boeckman, age 89, passed away peacefully December 12, 2020. Born May 20, 1931 in Baltimore, Maryland, to Heinrich Francis Boeckmann and Maria Josephine (Meyer) Boeckmann, he met and married Patricia Ann Barrick on October 3, 1959. Henry was a kind and loving man who knew the simple joys of faith, family, song and being of service to his country, church and fellow man. A U.S. Army veteran, a 4th degree knight with the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the St. Benedict choir for decades. In the Archdiocesan Choir of Baltimore and the Barbershop Chorus of the Chesapeake, he took his love of song to Rome, Paris, Portugal, and in many states across the country. Henry is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Boeckman; his children, Richard H. Boeckman, Stephen J. Boeckman and wife Diane, Mary M. Boeckman, and David M. Boeckman and wife Catherine; his grandsons Michael, Derek, Patrick, James and Andrew Boeckman; his siblings Francis P. Boeckmann, Mary J. (Boeckmann) Ryan, Jerome V. Boeckmann, and Paul J. Boeckmann; and his many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents. All of these he loved and touched deeply. The family will receive friends on Friday December 18th, 2020, from 11:30am-1pm at St. Benedict's Catholic Church 2612 Wilkens Ave. Baltimore, MD 21223, with a Funeral Mass beginning at 1pm. Interment will immediately follow Mass at Meadowridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Benedict Church or the Kidney Foundation.
