Jeanne Colburn Notice
Jeanne Colburn age 84 of Forest Hill, Maryland passed away on July 1, 2018 at the Senator Bob Hooper House. Born on April 13, 1934 in Camden NJ, she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1952 and the West Jersey School of Nursing in 1955. She then went on to obtain her license as an OB/Gyn Nurse Practitioner certified by the ANA as well as NAACOG. She was the first Nurse Practitioner to practice in Gloucester County, NJ in 1977 and is listed in Who's Who in American Nursing. She is predeceased by her husband Roy, whom she married on Sept 17, 1955. Always active, she was a volunteer for AARP, UCMC Kaufman Cancer Center and Meals on Wheels and was nominated as one of Harford County's Living Treasures in 2015. She was a member of "Moving On" and traveled to Bermuda, Hawaii, the Greek Isles, Venice, Germany, Rome, Amsterdam as well as cruises through the Rhine River and trans-Atlantic. An active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bel Air, she held positions as Deacon, Elder, Moderator of the Women's Association, Board of Lady Managers at GBMC through the Presbyterian Women, Parish Nurse, taught Sunday School for several years, and facilitated the Grief Share Program. She is survived by her only daughter, Debbie Reichardt and her husband Chris, of Forest Hill, as well as Granddaughters Shannon Baumgart and her husband Dustin of Bel Air, Shelby Reichardt and Stacey Reichardt, all of whom were the lights of her life. In leiu of flowers, donations may be to the Children's Program at First Presbyterian Church.
