Lovina Elizabeth ""Betty"" Sifford, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on May 10, 2018. She was 87.
Mrs. Sifford was born in Harrisburg, PA, to Charles Russell Kresge and Helen Irene Fexistermiker Kresge. She was the wife of the late Howard O. Sifford, Sr., loving mother of Gaylord Murdorf wife Connie Murdorf, Tina Murdorf husband Phil Turner, Margaret Pratt, Rose Dickerson, Michael Griffin, Jeff Murdorf wife Connie Murdorf, Sharon Kennedy husband Charles Kennedy, Howard Sifford, Jr., Gary Sifford wife Arlene Sifford , Keith Sifford wife Hollee Sifford, Tammy Burke husband Andy Burke , Tina Ray husband Gary Ray, Jane Miller husband Barry Miller, and the late Miles ""Mickey"" Murdorf, Robin Murdorf, and Roger ""Petie"" Sifford. Mrs. Sifford had 47 grandchildren, 65great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was the sister of Katie Hill and was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Sifford was a member of the American Legion Post 47. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, especially Poker and Rummy. She also enjoyed Chinese Checkers and crocheting. Her true love was taking care of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She also was a Mother/ Nanny to so many other children that were not even her own (you all know who you are).
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at 11 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Jeffery Murdorf Jr, Henry Cox Jr, Steven Windle, Howard Sifford III, Keith (Tyler) Sifford, Timothy Grey. Online condolences may be made at www.zellmanfuneralhome.com.
