Norma Jean Royster, 80, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away at home July 6, 2018. Born in West Virginia on March 3, 1938, Norma was the daughter of the late Theodore and Athleen Wyatt Cregger. She retired from Harford Bank as Senior Vice President of Lending after 31 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Aberdeen, life member of Soroptomist International of Havre de Grace, past member of Aberdeen Heritage Trust, NABW, past President of Halls Crossroads PTA and a member of Aberdeen Lioness. She is survived by her husband, Robert Royster; a son, Robert T. Royster (Angela); 3 daughters, Christina Lee Rumbaugh (Timothy D.), Melissa G. Royster and Amy Kay Simmons (Thomas), a sister, Brenda Joan Duvall; 7 grandchildren, Brian Rumbaugh, Andrea Rumbaugh, Scarlett Murray, William Murray, RJ Royster, Jeffrey Murray and Meghan Royster; and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Lillian June Campbell and 2 brothers, Theodore and Robert Franklin Cregger. Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday July 12, 2018 at Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, P.A., 333 South Parke St., Aberdeen, MD 21001 with a visitation Wednesday July 11 at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Burial will be in Harford Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be made to Soroptomist International of Havre de Grace, PO Box 848, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
