I've just heard of this beautiful soul's passing and i'm heartbroken. I'm so sorry that I didn't know sooner, and that I didn't have more time to see Patrick in the recent months. Heaven truly just gained an angel. Love you, Patrick. Rest in eternal peace.

Oh Patrick! My Shmoopie! You were my friend, my brother from another mother, my comedian.
I hope that you are somewhere feeling no pain and playing with lots of dogs and kittens.
I loved you and always will.

I did not know Patrick well. I am an instructor at Johns Hopkins and worked with him. We have been joking back and forth all semester about star wars, online software, and dogs. He was very witty, passionate and interesting and I am sad at his passing. My thoughts with his family this am.
