My deepest heart felt sympathy goes out to all the Ridgell family. Praying healing hearts prayer for his girls. I didn't know Mike, but felt the love his family and friends had for him, when I went to the softball field with Tracey and the girls. After hearing his daughters tell some stories about him, I also know he was a wonderful Dad. May he rest in peace, I know that he will be missed by many. R.I.P. Richard Michael Ridgell. Thank You for all you did for so many.

I remember Michael from Brooklyn Park Elementary school. We lived in the same neighborhood. He was my very first crush. I remember that blond hair and very blue eyes. We both would chase each other down the road just giggling. I think we were in like second and third grade. I moved away in the 5th grade. I am so sorry for your loss. He obviously grew into a wonderful person. I can't even imagine your pain. I am so very sorry. God Bless you!!

He was a wonderful assistant coach to my daughter...I can still hear him yelling at "superman" ...he will be missed by so so many...God Bless ...

Truly an amazing human being. Always thinking of helping others and always with a smile. I remember breaking my leg in junior high school and could not walk home. But there was Michael who pushed me up hill to my home while I sat on the seat of my sisters bike. Michael always had a "Can do / Will do" attitude. Thanks for getting me home that day. It is with sorrow and prayers that all your friends and family now help you on your way home. One of earths Angels has gone home and we pray for your journey and those who must go on without you. Sympathies to Micheal's family and friends.

As a defense contractor I had occasion to frequent Building 197 several times a week. Mike and I were friends as I quickly tagged him as a true man of the people. He was a charming and witty guy with an infectious smile. Fortunately for those of us who knew him he leaves us with a better sense of good will and comradship for having the good fortune to have been in his presence. With great respect and sympathy, Chris Bova

I am so sorry for your loss and pray for all of you. Mike was a wonderful man and we'd talk about football everyday. He about Ravens, me the Packers. We were super involved with last years greats Ravens playoff run. He proudly showed me his signed Ray Lewis jersey. Everyday when I'd leave he would quiz me on Super Bowl Trivia. On this past Friday as I was leaving he said to me, "We're tied for 1st place" and we chuckled together and then he said "13" which was his way to quiz me on Super Bowls. He was so proud of his girls. He was a real hero. I will miss him greatly and I'm so sorry for you all. God Bless you and him
