I miss Roy to this day.
We developed a friendship via our joint Love of the Ocean and Sailing. Both of us lifelong Sailors, we shared many hours aboard 'ARTEMIS'. Annual trips up and down the East Coast of America, from Rockland, Maine
to the Chesapeake Bay, Maryland. Hunkered down in Marinas to avoid Hurricanes, kept company off Cape Cod by Whales. More often by Dolphins. We had our dangerous moments and our becalmed days. All of it strengthened our bond.
Yes. I miss you my friend.
Rest in Peace, Fairwinds and Following Seas. Amen.

Bon Voyage, my dear friend.
I will miss our chats, corn beef hash and coffee at the stern of Artemis.
So many wonderful memories of our times sailing, the East Coast of America, from Maine to Maryland.
The wind filled days, no sight of land, Artemis heeling, cutting a path of foam through the deep azure seas. Singing old sea shanties and drinking an ice cold Yuengling Black & Tan.
The days of rough seas, and
Hurricane driven, strengthening winds, causing us to run for cover, hunkered down in some unfamiliar marina. Watching black and white videos, whilst the wind whistled through the boats rigging.

"A fresh breeze and a flowing sea
A wind that follows fast,
That fills the white and rustling sails,
And bends the gallant mast.
T'is like the Eagle, free my boys,
Like the Eagle Free!!"

Thank you, Roy, for the opportunity to share so many wonderful times.
Rest in Peace my friend and say "Hello to Bucky."
Fairwinds and Smooth Sailing.
