Susan Elizabeth Wilkes Caudill age 52, died peacefully surrounded by family and friends, on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 after a short battle with a rare genetic brain disorder. Sue was the daughter of the late Marilyn Bronner Wilkes Weinberger and William J. Wilkes and the stepdaughter of the late Carl S. Weinberger. Sue was preceded in death by their newborn daughter, Sarah Ashley. Sue was born on December 6, 1961, in Baltimore, MD. She attended elementary and middle schools in Rockville and Lutherville-Timonium areas. After graduating from Dulaney High School in 1980, she earned a bachelor's degree in Consumer Affairs/Fashion Merchandising from Rhode Island University. Susan married Barry Eugene Caudill in 1992, residing in Timonium, MD. Sue was an active member of The Church of the Holy Comforter. Her hobbies included traveling, (favorite Keuka lake in NY), listening to her husband play saxophone, spending time at the beach, crafts, shopping, reading, and had a black belt in karate... Sue will be missed by her husband Barry and her two sons, Christopher Ian and Matthew Zhong-Tian all of Timonium; two brothers Chuck Wilkes of Towson, MD and Tom Wilkes of Salisbury, MD; three step-brothers Carl Weinberger of Ellicott City, MD, Dane Weinberger of Huntsville, AL, and Neil Weinberger of Timonium, MD. Sue touched the lives of those she met. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to all. She will be sadly missed.

The family will receive friends at the family owned Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Rd., Timonium, MD on Friday, December 27 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 28 at 10:30 AM at The Church of the Holy Comforter, 130 W. Seminary Ave., Lutherville-Timonium, MD 21093.
