It is with profound sadness that we share with you the news that our beloved Wayne Elbert Morris passed away on April 19, 2021. He moved on peacefully, no doubt to rejoin cherished family, friends, and pets in Heaven.

Wayne was the only child of Mervin Elbert and Virginia Tucker Morris, born on June 28,1939. He graduated from Sparrows Point High School, excelling in academics and athletics as he played soccer, basketball, and baseball. Wayne was a member of the Maryland Senior Olympic Volleyball team, and also enjoyed classic cars, playing golf, and sailing. He graduated with honors from the University of Maryland in 1962, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

Wayne worked at Bethlehem Steel for forty years in a variety of management positions. Later in life, Wayne enjoyed being in the church choir as a parishioner of Linden Heights United Methodist Church. Wayne was affable by nature, fast to make friends with whom he would remain loyal throughout his life.

Wayne married Sally James Morris on June 23,1962. Sally and Wayne spent 58 years raising their two sons, Christopher James Morris (Maureen) and Curtis Wayne Morris (Lauryn), in Parkville, Maryland. He was a devoted grandfather to Ben, Maddie, Lindsey, Tucker, Justin, Spencer, and Dylan.

Wayne will be terribly missed by his beloved wife, their sons and wives, grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

A Memorial service will be held at Oak Crest Chapel on Friday June 11th; visitors welcomed at 10:30 am, service at 11 am, 8820 Walther Boulevard, Parkville MD 21234. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.evansfuneralchapel.com.

Curt and Chris, you had a great Dad. It really meant a lot to me when he came to my Dad's viewing. They were both in the same fraternity at UMD, although at different times. I still can picture him with my Dad and Mr Furnari on the sidelines during our high school lax games. Now they all are in heaven together. My thoughts are with you and your families during this difficult time.
