(b. October 14, 1944, Baltimore, MD.) Her merry voice was finally silenced on January 5, 2018, by Parkinsonism, after a siege whose length can be credited to her pastor, of St. Andrew's Episcopalian Church; her health care agents; the expert staff at Noble Horizons nursing home; and her fond longtime caregivers, all of northwest Connecticut. The laughter Chris inspired and the joie-de-vivre she epitomized at her best will be remembered by her classmate-sisterhood at the Bryn Mawr School (1962), Baltimore, and Vassar College (1966); her colleagues in New York public relations and marketing, in which she excelled in the 1960s and 70s; devoted British chums; and her real estate clients who became friends and vice versa in the Kent, CT, area through the 2000s. Survived by her sister Anne Hoene Hoy, Chris was the beloved daughter of Mary Anne Tawes Hoene (Cambridge, MD, 1910-Cambridge, 1989) and Herman H. Hoene (Pittsburgh, 1904-Baltimore, 1975). A memorial service will take place in April at St. Andrew's Close, N. Main St., Kent, CT.
