George Grimmel Obituary
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air Inc. 610 W. MacPhail Rd. (at Rt. 24) on Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Jarrettsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to John Carroll School, 703 E. Churchville Rd., Bel Air, MD, 21014 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS, 66675.

I first met Mr. Grimmel when I was 16 and worked for my dad and the Massey Ferguson Dealer, Haddox Equipment, next door. I met the kids there too. What a truly wonderful family. I have had the honor of renewing that friendship over the past few years, and have seen the love in that family, caring for their dad, and the wit and joy that Mr. Grimmel maintained even as his health was failing. I love you Mr. Grimmel. I know you are enjoying Heaven now. To Frannie and all the boys, you have been a beautiful example to all of us of how to love and care for a parent who has always done the same for you and so many others. Your dad was one of a kind and I know you all know that! Love, Lill

Mr. Grimmel was an inspiration to all he encountered, a truly delightful individual. He will be missed by many and was loved by all. My sincerest sympathy go out to the Grimmel family in this time. Heaven gained another angel and one of the best of them all.

Words cannot express the loss you must feel, but I know in my heart he is in a much better place that we shall all strive to be. There is no doubt he is God's presence.

Dear Tom, Jack, Fran, and Rich, My heart is very heavy thinking of your grief and loss---your Dad was so admired as a man of impeccable character, as well as a wonderful father, grandfather, and husband. Growing up in Maryland, I have such fond childhood memories of our beloved, fun-loving and sweet Uncle George (and Aunt Lucy). Through the years, I have admired the love, pride and generous spirit for his greatest joy, his children and grandchildren. He and Aunt Lucy created an amazing legacy and I am confident that they are both finally together in heaven, smiling with pride and contentment.

Rich, Frannie, Tom, and Jack, don't know just what to say, except your dad was one in a million. He and your mom, Lucy, knew what they were doing when they raised you.
