Today we celebrate the accomplished life of my friend Barbara.
To me ,she was a model of a woman, born on the cusp of independent thinking, personal rights, civil rights , and love of humanity.
Barbara was the go to person. She offered solace and help to those who needed a safe place to land. Her door was open and her spirit
was yours if you needed it. She took on the many challenges of her life as a wife, mother, grandmother,, community member and artist.
Barbara was a woman who knew herself well. She stood her ground.
