Aaron Lawson Lucius, age 84 of Montalba, Texas passed away into the arms of Jesus on October 16, 2025. Aaron was born in Ocola, Florida on February 6, 1941 to parents Joshua Alvin Lucius and Margaret Kathryn Lucius.
He served in the Marine Corp from 1958-1962. After his service in the military he returned home to McAllen, Texas. He met Delores Tuttle and they were married on October 7, 1962 in Edinburg, Texas.
Aaron had many different jobs during his working years. He worked at the Coco-Cola company in Houston, Texas. He owned a air-conditioning and heating business in Houston. His first job in Palestine, Texas was in maintenance at Cosmos Tablet Company. After leaving Cosmos, he worked as Director of Maintenance at Cayuga I.S.D.
He finished his career as Director of Maintenance and Transportation at Westwood I.S.D.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joshua and Margaret Lucius; sisters Carolyn Jackson and Linda Pittman; nephews Michael Lucius and Bobby DeBerry; and niece Donna Parker.
Aaron leaves behind memories to his wife Delores Lucius; son Gary Lucius; daughter Tracy Rubalcaba; grandchildren Blair Wall & husband Steven, Aaron Rubalcaba, and Selena Rubalcaba; great grandson Bowen Wall; brother Stephen Lucius; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Aaron’s spirit will remain a part of many loves he touched.
Funeral services for Aaron Lawson Lucius will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Friendship Baptist Church with Duane Neel officiating. Visitation will be held before the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Rock Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers honoring Aaron are Donald Tuttle, Roy Witt, James Ragsdale, Paul Outlaw, Steven Wall and Aaron Rubalcaba.
